Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, wood stove for heat and an outside toilet. It does not have mattresses or cooking utensils. Cabin users should bring their own sleeping bags, pads, cook stoves, cooking gear and food. During the commercial fishing season, there may be a lot of fishing boats and processors using Phocena Bay for anchorage. The person holding the reservation for this cabin must be at least 18 years of age, and must be a member of the party using the cabin. There are NO discounts for Golden Age or Golden Passports for Alaska cabin rentals. Spectacular view of Chapin Peak and the Puppet Mountains from cabin deck, wildlife viewing includes opportunities to view whales outside of bay. Cabin located at sea level, there is a very large tide flat in front of cabin at low tide, easy walking around beach and cabin area, nice scenery. 12' X 14' Pan-Abode cabin, two single/two double bunks, woodstove, and an outhouse with a roof water collection system and mooring buoy. Reservations are restricted to a maximum stay of 7 consecutive nights per party for any one reservation May 1 - September 30 and a maximum stay of 10 consecutive nights per party October 1 - April 30.

Effective November 17, 2003, reservations for Alaska cabins will be subject to a new policy allowing only one change per reservation. A change in reservation is defined as a modification to the start or end date of the reservation. After one change has been made, if additional changes are desired, the customer must cancel the reservation and at a later time, re-book the new dates. This policy has been established to assure that reservations for cabins are fair and equitable for everyone.
