Description

Payson Lakes Campground is situated in stands of aspen and fir trees at an elevation of 8,000 feet. There is a lake within the campground where you can boat, fish, and swim. An asphalt walkway goes around the lake. There are also nearby hiking trails and open areas where recreation activities can occur. The campground is just off a National Scenic Byway, about 12 miles from Payson, a full-service community. The campground has no hook-ups or phone service. No all-terrain or off-highway vehicles allowed in the campground. Horses allowed in Group Site C only.
