PACKSADDLE (CA), CA

Description

Packsaddle Campground is located in the North Yuba River area. This single family campground has 2 sections. The first section is more open but has shade from pine and fir trees and a corral with ample space for stock trailers that make this section ideally suited for horse enthusiasts. The second section is above the first on a slight hillside. Some sites have views of the open meadow with wildflowers or overlooking the ravine with mountains in the background.

Alerts and Important Information

  • Reservations must be made 3 day in advance
  • 3 night minimum for holiday weekends
  • Additional $2.00 per day fee for Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day weekends.
  • No hook-ups
  • No Showers
  • The camping fee includes entry for 1 vehicle and one legally towed vehicle
  • A $5.00 fee per day for extra vehicle will be collected at the campground
  • Pets must be leashed at all times - 6 foot maximum
  • 6 people per site only
  • Vehicles park in parking spurs only
  • All equipment must fit on pad
  • Quite hours are 10pm to 6am and strictly enforced
  • Fire restrictions may apply
  • Bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers

From Sierraville go 18 miles south on HWY 49, turn right at Bassett. Go approx 1.5 miles to FS RD 93. Turn left. Go.5 mile, turn right and follow sign to campground.
