Description

Set in a heavily forested area, the Panhandle Campground is located in northeast Washington on the Pend Oreille River.

Panhandle campground is opened from mid-May through Labor Day. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance, but must be made at least 4 days prior to your intended arrival date.

  • This campground has first-come, first-served sites
  • There is limited parkiing available, extra vehicles (more than one per site on single sites) will be charged an extra vehicle fee.
  • CAUTION: Bears/cougars frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers.

From downtown Newport, travel east on US Hwy 2 for 0.75 mile. Immediately after crossing the Pend Oreille River bridge, turn left on LeCLerc Road and travel 32 miles north to Panhandle Campground.
