Moore Creek Campground is located on Gilman Road south of Lakehead. The nearest boat launch is 4 miles away at Hirz Bay. There is an $8.00 daily fee for the use of the launch facility. Resorts on the lake have watercraft rentals and marinas with fuel. Nearest store is about 15 miles away in Lakehead. There is abundant wildlife in the area. Reservations taken May 30, 2008 to June 30, 2008; and July 3, 2008 to September 8, 2008.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
2 night minimum on weekends.
Respect wildlife!!
CAUTION: Bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers. Storage containers are provided or bring gear to hang out of reach.
Poison oak is abundant throughout the forest.
This is a group use site by reservation only.br> Campers must have gate combination before camping. Available by calling 1-530-275-8113 one week prior to arrival.
