Description

Located in a Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir forest area near Monarch Pass. Elevation 10,500 feet. Some campsites are located near south fork Arkansas Creek. Restrooms are provided. No showers. The nearest services are in Poncha Springs or Salida. Parking is restricted to designated areas only. Popular activities in the area include hiking the Colorado Trail and the Continental Divide Trail, and 4-wheel driving. Firewood is for sale at the site.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends.
This campground requires a 3 night minimum holiday weekend stay.
A fee of $5 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.
No dumping of waste water allowed.
This campground has first-come, first-served sites.
Limited water available - no water hookups.
Maximum 8 persons per site (except for group campgrounds).
Quiet Hours 10 pm to 6 am.
Check-in is 2 pm ; Check-out is 12 pm
