MANZANITA LAKE (CA), CA

Description

Manzanita Lake Campground is located within walking distance of Manzanita Lake and is 1 mile south of the Park entrance. Manzanita Lake is very popular for fishing. Please note that it is "Catch and Release" only, artificial lure and single barbless hook. The Loomis Museum, Loomis Ranger Station and popular trails are nearby. Interpretive programs are presented at the Loomis Museum and at the amphitheater.

Alerts and Important Information

DURING THE 2010 SUMMER SEASON ROAD CONSTRUCTION WILL TAKE PLACE ON 11 MILES OF THE MAIN PARK ROAD FROM MANZANITA LAKE SOUTH TO DERSCH MEADOWS, EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS.

  • Reservations must be made 4 days in advance.
  • Additional campsites available on a first come-first served basis with no reservation required.
  • There are no electricity/water or sewer hookups at this campground.
  • Campers must have a valid entrance or pass before camping. Entrance Fee is $10 per vehicle.
  • All food and scented products must be stored in the bear lockers provided at each campsite.
  • Pets must be on a 6' leash at all times, must not be left unattended and are not allowed on park trails.
  • For Group camping in May , June, September and October please call the Park direct at (530) 335-7029 for arrangements.

    From Redding, drive 48 miles east on State Highway 44. Turn right into Lassen Volcanic National Park and continue 1 mile South to Manzanita Lake Campground.
