LOWER TWIN LAKES (CA), CA

Description

Lower Twin Lakes is located in large Jeffrey pine trees and sagebrush. Robinson Creek runs by the campground and Lower Twin Lakes is within walking distance. Interpretive programs are provided at Robinson Creek Campground, one mile away. There is good fishing in both Robinson Creek and Upper and Lower Twin Lakes. There is also good hiking opportunities in the area. Firewood is sold at the campground.

Alerts and Important Information

This campground has first-come, first-served sites Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holidays. A per day per vehicle fee will be collected at the campground for extra vehicles beginning with the 2nd vehicle. At least one guest must occupy the site within the first 24 hours for the site to be held. Leaving an empty vehicle or camp equipment does not signify occupancy. California fishing regulations in effect. CAUTION: Bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers. No refunds are given for bad weather. Day use beach area with boat ramp. All roads are paved, along with the driveways.

US Highway 395 runs through Bridgeport. From the south you would turn left at the MoMart Gas Station. Travel on the Twin Lakes Road for about 9.6 miles, then make a left turn onto South Twin Road and go approximately 0.6 miles across the bridge.
