LID CREEK CAMPGROUND (MT), MT

Description

Lid Creek Group Use Site is located 15 miles south of Hungry Horse along the Hungry Horse Reservoir within the Lid Creek Campground. Facilities at the campground include a host site, vault toilets, and 23 "first come-first serve" individual campsites. The group site is primitive with 12 parking spurs and rock firerings and easy walking access to the vault toilets and Reservoir.


Please pack out what you brought including your garbage. Grizzly bears live in the area; store your food, beverages, coolers, and garbage in a manner that does not attract bears to your campsite by either storing in your vehicle, hanging it properly, or storing it in an approved storage container. Lid Creek Campground is just 23 miles SW of the West Glacier enterance into Glacier National Park.

Alerts and Important Information

3 nights minimum stay on holidays and 2 nights minimum stay on weekends.

Grizzly, black bears, and mountain lions live in the area, store your food, beverages, coolers, and garbage inside your vehicle.


Pets on leashes are allowed at the campground.

Attention Large Groups:
You may make your reservation online or by telephone by simply paying a one time $25.00 Group Use fee per reservation with a credit card and then paying the additional camper unit fees or day use fees to the host upon your arrival at the campground.

FEE:
The Group Site can be reserved for Overnight or Day Use. There is a $25 per night reservation fee for overnight use. As the users arrive at the campground they will pay an additional $10.00 per night, per camper unit fee. A camper unit is a motorhome, trailer, pick-up camper or family tent.
The group site needs to have a minimum of 5 camper units per night. Groups using the Group Site Area for Day Use only will pay $75.00 reservation.

Late Cancellations:
The $25.00 Group Use fee is non refundable.

No-Shows:
If you do not arrive at the campground or group facility by the times listed above, you will forfeit your $25.00 Group Use fee.

Lid Creek Grolup Use Site is located 15 miles south of Hungry Horse, MT on the West Side Reservoir Road #895. To find the West Side Reservoir Road turn off of Hwy 2 just past milepost 144. Take the paved West Side Reservoir Road across the Hungry Horse Dam and stay on that road another 11 miles to Lid Creek Campground.
