Vesuvius Furnace and Roadside Picnic Shelters will be available for reservation April 2 through October 31, 2010. Beach area will open Memorial Day weekend May 28 through Labor Day September 6, 2010. For more information, please call the Ironton Ranger District at 740-534-6500. Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance. No more than two vehicles per campsite. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Picnic areas close at 10:00 p.m. Lake Vesuvius Furnace is a group picnic site with electricity. Golden Age/Access discount does not apply to group sites.
