Laurel Branch Campground is located on Rough River Lake. From camping to picnicking to fishing, Rough River Lake has it all to offer. The area is a nature lover's paradise. Laurel Branch Campground offers 77 sites. Additional ammenities include a dump station, a playground, boat ramp and a nature trail.

Geography:

Rough River Lake lies within the "Clifty" area of the Pennyroyal Region of Kentucky.

Recreation:

A wide variety of recreational opportunities and facilities has been provided for visitor enjoyment by the Corps and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.

The campground is open from the first of May to first of November with Park Attendants on duty, at which time sites range from $14-$19/night. This campground continues to remain open until November 23rd using an honor vault system (from November 2 thru November 23), at which time the sites range from $10-$13/night. The park then closes for the balance of 2009 and will reopen March 26, 2010.

Local option prohibits the use of alcohol. Off-road vehicles are not allowed.

From Louisville, KY: Take Hwy 60 from Louisville to Harned, KY, 10 miles west on Hwy 79 to Hwy 259, travel east on Highway 259 for.5 miles to Highway 110 west, follow Highway 110 for 1 mile. Follow signs into entrance.
