Description

Kiasutha is located on the Kinzua Arm of Allegheny Reservoir in the Kinzua Dam area. Access to the campground is off Forest Road 262 which is the Longhouse Scenic Byway.

Nearby campgrounds include: Red Bridge and Dewdrop. Nearby attractions include: Kinzua Dam, Kinzua Bridge, Kinzua/Knox Scenic Railroad.

Vegetation is forested hills.

Alerts and Important Information

  • Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
  • 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holidays.
  • Campsite fee allows 1 wheeled camping unit (motorhome, travel trailer, truck camper, pop-up trailer, conversion van or bus).
  • Limited parking - A fee of $5 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.
  • This campground has first come, first-served sites.
  • Do not bring firewood from home to the Allegheny National Forest.
  • Do not unwittingly spread the emerald ash borer, sirex wood wasp, hemlock woolly adelgid or other firewood borne invasive species.
  • Possession of firewood from outside the area of the Allegheny National Forest is prohibited. Firewood is available at or near camping facilities.

Campsites 49-90 have recently been renovated. Campsites 91-97 are newly constructed. Expect traffic pattern changes with two-lane unpaved roads throughout the loop.

From Kane, Pennsylvania, take State Highway 321 north for ten miles and one mile on Longhouse Scenic Drive.

From Warren, Pennsylvania, take State Highway 59 east for thirteen miles and turn south on Longhouse Scenic Drive for ten miles.

The campground is 110 miles south of Buffalo NY; 170 miles north of Pittsburgh, PA; 200 miles east of Cleveland, OH.
