JOSEPHINE LAKE CABIN (AK), AKDescriptionClick here for more cabin information and maps Cabin is a 12' X 12' precut cedar log cabin equipped with wooden bunks (sleeping space for 4-6 people), table, benches, oil stove for heat (you must provide your own #1 diesel fuel or kerosene), and an outside toilet. Please remember to take your fuel container with you when you leave. It does not have mattresses or cooking utensils. Cabin users should bring their own stove fuel, sleeping bags, pads, cook stoves, matches, cooking gear, food, lantern, toilet paper, and garbage bags. A boat with oars is usually provided, however snow damage has occurred and has made the boat unusable. The boat is scheduled for replacement. Please contact the Craig Ranger District for up-to-date information (907-826-3271). Wildflowers bloom in July. This area is famous for its quartz and epidote crystals. There are several private mining claims in the area. Some are active, and others have been idle for some time. Please respect the property rights of private landowners. DO NOT PROSPECT, DIG, OR COLLECT MINERAL SPECIMENS ON THE PRIVATE LAND NEAR JOSEPHINE LAKE. Services & Amenities:Alerts and Important Information
Same day reservations are allowed for this cabin. The person holding the reservation for this cabin must be at least 18 years of age, and must be a member of the party using the cabin. There are NO discounts for Golden Age/Access Passports for Alaska cabin rentals. Use of this cabin by a commercial operator, such as an outfitter or guide, is NOT allowed.
