JIM HOGG PARK (TX), TXDescriptionJim Hogg Park will be closing on January 1, 2010 and will be closed indefinitely due to substantial electrical work to be performed at Lake Georgetown. Walkins will still be accepted until actual work commences.Jim Hogg Park is located on the north side of Georgetown Lake, which is located in the hill country area of Texas approximately 25 miles north of Austin. The park was named for former Texas Governor Jim Hogg. Visitors enjoy camping, fishing, boating, picnicking, and all nature has to share. Jim Hogg Park offers 148 campsites with water and 30amp/20 amp electrical hookups. Additional ammenities include hot showers, a dump station, a boat ramp, fishing docks, and public telephones.
