IRON LAKE A-FRAM (ID), IDDescriptionOpen June 30 - October 15. This pristine mountain lake is surrounded on two sides by a quiet, 8-unit campground. The A-frame is located near the trailhead to the primitive Hat Creek lakes area, three miles away. At 8,800 feet one can expect fleeting snow storms even in the summer months and the primitive mountain road makes for slow going. A-frame has a wood stove, firewood, broom, axe, fire extinguisher, table, two chairs, six mattresses and a shovel. You will need to supply your own dishes, utensils, cookware and drinking water. An outhouse is located nearby. The maximum capacity for the A-frame is six people and cost is $20/night. Services & Amenities:

Follow this road for 13.5 miles to Williams Creek Summit and turn south (left) on road #020.
