Pick up permit and gate combination from the Placerville Ranger District off of Highway 50 in Camino. Take exit 54 and go south on Eight Mile road.

** The Harvey West Cabin area is not a designated Off Highway Vehicle (OHR) riding area. Please contact the Placerville Ranger District for a map of designated areas to ride your motorcycles or quads. **

Highway 50, approximately 30 miles east of Placerville, turn right on Silver Fork Road 11N40 (just beyond Kyburz Lodge), travel approximately 2 miles to China Flat Campground. You will need a combination (There is a combo lock that holds a key on the cabin door, you will be given the combo when you pick up your permit) to unlock the bollard on the bridge. Signs will direct you to the cabin after you cross the bridge. There is a key to the cabin, which you will be given when you pick up your permit at the Placerville Ranger Station on Highway 50 in Camino, Take Exit 54 and go south of Eight Mile road.
