HOUSTON MESA (AZ), AZ

Description

Located one mile north of Payson, Arizona. Restrooms and showers are provided. There is a fourteen day stay limit within any thirty day period. Interpretive trails are nearby. These are single family camping units only. No hook-ups available. Horse camping facilities available across the road from the family campground. Must have horses or mules to camp at the horse facility (Mule Deer Loop).

Alerts and Important Information

*Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.* There are no RV hook-ups available at the campground. There is a second vehicle charge of $10 per night paid at the campground for Bear, Mountain and Elk Loop. There is a second vehicle charge of $8 per night paid at the campground for Mule Dear Loop for sites that can hold more than one (1) vehicle.

From Payson, Arizona, go north for 1 mile to the junction of Highway 87 (Beeline Highway) and Forest Road 199 (Houston Mesa Road). Turn east onto Forest Road 199 for 1/10 mile, campground is on the north side of the Houston Mesa Road.
