HIRZ BAY (CA), CADescriptionHirz Bay Family Campground is located on Gilman Road. The exit 5 miles south of Lakehead by I-5, then 9 miles to the east. The campground is well forested and sits on McCloud Arm of Shasta Lake. The nearest boat launch is about 1 mile away at Hirz Bay. There is a fee for use of the launch facility. Resorts on the lake have watercraft and marinas with fuel. The nearest store is about 15 miles away in Lakehead. There is abundant wildlife in the area. Alerts and Important InformationPlease check out some of our other reservation available family campgrounds on Shasta Lake: Antlers, Lakeshore East, Ellery Creek, and Bailey Cove. If you have a large group, you might look into booking a Group Campground and have it all to yourself. These range in price from $80.00 to $110.00 per night and can accommodate from 60 to 120 people. Group Camps Include: Hirz Bay Group I, Hirz Bay Group II, Dekkas Rock (open year-round), Pine Point, Moore Creek, and Nelson Point.
