Description

Hidden View is located at Hensley Lake in the foothills of Central California just 50 mi. north of Fresno, CA. The area, which was once home to the Miwok and Yokut Native Americans, now offers many recreational opportunities for outdoor enjoyment.

Recreation:

Our visitors enjoy boating for water skiing as well as fishing. Our shoreline fishermen enjoy the easy access the lake offers. A trail on the day use side offers visitors the opportunity to hike, mountain bike or horseback ride at the lake.

Facilities:

Hidden View campground provides 55 campsites including 2 group campsites. Some sites have some electric hookups. It is located within walking distance to the lake and boat launch. There is also an amphitheater in the campground with evening shows on Saturday nights during the summer recreation season. One hiking trail is located within walking distance of the campground.

Nearby Attractions:

Yosemite National Park is about 1 hour north of the park. Kings Canyon National Park is about 1 1/2 hours southeast of the park.

Alerts and Important Information

Hidden View Campground will be closed from January 10, 2010 through January 24, 2010 due to construction. From January 24, 2010 through June 1, 2010 ALL of the campsites will be WALK-IN only due to ongoing construction.

Reservations must be made at least 3 day in advance.

This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. For more information, please call (559) 673-5151.

The campground gate will close at 10:00 pm and open at 6:00 am each day.

***From SR 99 south of Fresno; SR 41 north 21 miles to SR 145, west 8.4 miles to Road 33. Turn right 1.1 mile to Road 400, right 7.1 miles to Road 603, Turn left 1 mile to 407, right 1.7 miles to the campground.

***South of Madera: SR 99 north to exit #153, bear right onto Madera Avenue, .3 miles to Gateway. Turn left, .2 miles to light at Yosemite Ave. (SR 145). Turn right, 7.2 miles to Road 33. Turn left 1 mile to Road 400. Turn right, 7.1 miles to Road 603. Turn left , 1 mile to Road 407. Turn right, 1.7 miles to the campground.
