Description

Campground is 1.5 miles East of Big Bend, north of Yuba River South of Hwy 80. Restrooms are provided. Activities include fishing, swimming, hiking nearby trails, sight-seeing and learning about emigrant history. Nearby facilities include Rainbow Lodge, Big Bend Visitors Center and Loch Leven Trail. There are campsites next to the California Emigrant Trail.

Alerts and Important Information

    Hampshire Rocks will be closed from June 1, 2010 thropugh June 30, 2010 for reconstruction of a water line.
  • Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
  • This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends.
  • This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.
  • An additional fee will be collected on-site for extra vehicles.

Campground is 1/4 mile East of Big Bend, north of Yuba River South of Hwy 80. From Truckee, California, take Highway 80 west for 17 miles. Take the Rainbow/Big Bend exit. If westbound, turn left under freeway to campground entrance. If eastbound, turn right at stop sign for campground.
