GLEASONS LANDING HURON (MI), MI

Description

Gleasons Landing is a heavily forested campground with shaded and secluded spots, perfect for camping and home to the varied local wildlife. Located on the Pere Marguette River, a large draw to the campground is fishing. The river is stocked with Trout, Salmon and Steelhead. Nearby, there is a trailhead for the North Country National Scenic Hiking Trail.

Reservations are available from mid-May to mid-September and they can be made up to six months in advance for single sites, and one year in advance for group sites. Reservations must be made at least 4 days before your intended arrival date.

Alerts and Important Information

  • Please check in at Host Site 73 to obtain a Car Pass
  • This campground has first-come, first serve sites
  • A fee for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground
  • Spur space on single sited is limited. Most sites will not accommodate more than 2 personal vehicles or one large RV.

    Note: The Pere Marquette River is a National Wild and Scenic River. Because of this status, special regulations apply at Gleasons Landing campground:

    *Firewood is available at or near the camping facility. Please do not bring firewood from home to the Huron-Manistee National Forest. This will help us to prevent the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer. For more information about this, call 1-866-325-0023 or online at:
