Description

Nestled on the banks of the Gerle Creek Fork, Gerle Creek Campground has lots of opportunity for fishing and other water activities. Hiking and biking are also other popular activities.

There is a fishing platform, picnic area, and interpretive nature trail, all of which are fully accessible for individuals with disabilities.

There is firewood available for sale at the campground. Check with local Forest Service for fire restrictions in your area.

Reservations, available up to six months in advance, can be made from mid-May through Labor Day weekend. They must be made at least 3 days in advance of your intended arrival date.

Alerts and Important Information

  • This campground has first-come, first-served sites.
  • There is a 2 night minimum weekend stay.
  • Limited parking available. A per day, per vehicle fee will be collected beginning with the 3rd vehicle. (A trailer or an RV plus a tow vehicle equals 2 vehicles)
  • CAUTION: Bears and other wildlife frequent this area. All food should be properly stored.
  • Gas and electric powered boats are not allowed on the lake.
