GATES GROUP (CA), CADescriptionGates Group Campground is located in Tahoe, CA, near French Meadows and Foresthill. This campground is at an elevation of 5,200 feet and is within a coniferous forest and reservoir. Temperatures consist of warm days and cool evenings. Provided for campers are vault toilets, piped drinking water, paved roads and parking areas, tables, firerings, and cooking grills. Popular activities include hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, and nature study. Firewood is sold at the campground.Alerts and Important InformationReservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. No refunds are given for bad weather. A fee for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.
