FLATROCK (TEXAS) (TX), TX

Description

Flatrock Recreation Area is located on Hords Creek Lake. The lake is situated in the northern portion of the Texas Hill country, 8 miles west of Coleman, Texas. Gently rolling hills covered with huge live oak trees makes Hords Creek Lake an ideal setting for any camper. There are two separate parks. Over 50 campsites with water and electric hookups are located in each park, including 10 with sewer hookups. There are also 10 screened cabins for campers without a trailer or RV. Seven group shelters are available for day use.

Alerts and Important Information

*Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance.* All individual campsites, screened shelters and group shelters require a minimum stay of 2 nights on weekends and a 3 night stay on holidays. The recreation area is open May-Sept. and sites are $14-$34/night. The area is open 6am to 10pm. The group areas and screened cabins must be reserved by contacting Reserve America by calling toll free: 1-877-444-6777 or their web site at: www.recreation.gov.The shelter is air conditioned.Shelters may be reserved only by calling Reserve America at toll free: 1-877-444-6777 or at the web site: www.recreation.gov. Before you arrive call the Lake office for any last minute changes at (325) 625-2322 ext. 10.
