FIREFIGHTERS CAMPGROUND (UT), UT

Description

Situated at 6900', the landscape here is mainly Ponderosa Pine, and temperatures can vary from warm days to cool nights. Near the site, an overlook contains the memorial to 3 firefighters that died in the Cart Creek Fire. The campground area has restrooms, dump station, potable water, and 4 ADA accessible sites. Public showers are available at Deer Run and Mustang Ridge. Bootleg Amphitheater -- 120 bleacher seats and a screen support. Naturalist presentations.

*This campground has first-come, first-served sites* Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Firewood is sold at the campground. All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles park in developed areas only. NOTICE: A recreation fee is required for all usage at Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. The per vehicle fees are $5 per day, $15 for 7 days, and $35 per season. Passes available from CG hosts, local businesses, the FS. 2 vehicles=1 sleeping unit+1 passenger vehicle per single site.
