Description

This campground is located at Sagehen Reservoir adjacent to Antelope, Sagehen Creek and Hollywood Point Campgrounds. Smith's Ferry, Idaho is 18 miles east, Ola, Idaho is 18 miles south and Emmett, Idaho is 45 miles south. Campground elevation is about 4800 feet above sea level. The area is wooded mountain terrain with streams and a reservoir popular for trout fishing. Other popular activities in this area include mushroom picking, berry gathering, and hunting. Summer temperatures are usually 80 to 90 degrees during the day with cool nights. The campground has hand-pumped well water and vault toilets. Firewood is sold at Antelope Campground. Fires in fire rings and grills only.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 10 days in advance. This campround requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends for group sites. A per day per vehicle fee will be collected at the campground for extra vehicles. No refunds are given for bad weather. Maximum of 50 people and 10 vehicles at this group area. Additional parking and camping is available nearby. Additional parking is remote. No firearms within 150 yards. Fires are allowed in fire rings and grills only. Site is only reservable as a group unit. Individual sites are available on a first come, first serve basis when there is no group reservation.

From Horseshoe Bend, Idaho take Highway 52 9 miles west to the junction with the Sweet/Ola Highway. Turn north and travel 16 miles to Ola, Idaho. Travel north through Ola and follow the signs 18 miles to Sagehen Reservoir. Paved road turns to gravel a few miles north of Ola.
