DRY WOLF CABIN (MT), MT

Description

Dry Wolf Cabin is located about 20 miles south of Stanford, MT in the Little Belt Mountains. The cabin is basically a one room facility and sleeps five (5).The access road is a graveled road and once snow comes in, it may be accessible only by four wheel drive vehicle. No water or electricity is available. The cabin is not handicapped accessible but the nearby toilet is. A woodstove is available for heat. There are propane lights and a cook stove. Dishes and pots and pans are available. Pets are okay, but no livestock.

Alerts and Important Information

There is no water, electricity or sewer at the site. Cell phone reception is sketchy at best. Renters are to bring their own bedding, food, water, cooler, toilet paper and personal necessities. This site is a "Pack In/Pack Out" and renters must bring their own garbage bags. Visitors must clean the cabin and police the site before leaving. Occupants will be billed for damage or extra clean-up costs. Firewood is provided for the woodstove only and is available in the storage shed located near the cabin and renters must restock the box located in the cabin. The fee for rental is $30 per night and the cabin may be rented for a maximum of consecutive 14 days. The cabin may be reserved up to 180 days in advance. Renters must be at least 18 years of age. A driver's license with a photo is required for positive identification at the time the key is picked up. The key will not be mailed out. The key may be picked up only during regular business hours, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at any of the Lewis and Clark Forest Service offices (Stanford, White Sulphur Springs, Harlowton, Neihart, Choteau or Great Falls). The key may not be picked up more than three (3) days in advance. The key must be returned within 5 days of final reserved date to the office where it was picked up at. From Stanford, MT. travel 1 mile northwest on U.S. Highway 87 and take a left(south) onto Dry Wolf Road 251. Go 15 miles and you'll see a sign "Dry Wolf Station". Turn left onto a short spur into the cabin.
