Alerts and Important InformationTransporting firewood onto the WMNF that originates outside of New Hampshire and Maine is PROHIBITED. Our forests are threatened by nonnative insects that can kill large numbers of trees. The emerald ash borer, Asian long horned beetle and Sirex woodwasp are wood-infesting species that can be transported long distances in firewood. Once transported into new areas, these insects can become established and kill local trees. HOW YOU CAN HELP: Leave firewood at home-do not transport it to cabins or campgrounds. Use firewood from local sources. Please be aware that a large number of hazard trees were removed by commercial timber harvest in Dolly Copp this past winter. Several campsites in Spruce Woods (sites 51-74) and Brook Loop (sites 75-91) and in Big Meadow and Little Meadow (sites 1-50 and 92-96) have evidence of this required tree removal, and have a different appearance from past years. Please take this into account when making your reservation. For more information about this project please visit the White Mountain National Forest website at: http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/white_mountain/projects/projects/assessments/settler/settler.html or contact the Androscoggin Ranger Station at 603-466-2713.Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance.
Your campsite fee includes parking for one vehicle. When you arrive at the campsite, you will be charged $5.00 per night if you park a second vehicle in the campground. Must bring confirmation to campground, check in at Gatehouse upon arrival. This campground has first-come, first-served sites. Getting There:Dolly Copp (NH)WHITE MOUNTAIN NH GPS Info.
