Description

This USFS campground is located about 20 miles east of Springville, CA, in the Tule Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest. There are fishing and hiking opportunities nearby. The small community of Camp Nelson is one mile away (convenience store); Pierpoint Springs Resort is two miles away (store, restaurant). Approximate season dates are 4/15 to 11/15.

  • Giant Sequoia Mercantile Now Open In Springville, CA
    The Giant Sequoia Mercantile offers a wide variety of books, maps, gifts, local art, and other merchandise that will serve to make your trip to the Monument more memorable. Beginning in mid-June 2009 - the Giant Sequoia Mercantile will also be offering a variety of camping equipment and supplies making it the perfect place to stop for those last minute items you may have left at home.

  • A second Giant Sequoia Mercantile is now open at 13247 Sierra Way in Kernville, CA - the southern gateway to the Giant Sequoia National Monument.

    Alerts and Important Information

    Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. Quiet hours 10pm to 6am 2nd vehicle fee collected at campground There is a 3 night minimum on holiday weekends.

    Maximum 2 vehicles per site A fee of $5 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground. All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles Park in developed areas only.

    Caution: bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers.
    No all-terrain or off-highway vehicle use in the campground. No usage of chainsaws, firearms or fireworks allowed.

    From highway 99 go east on 190, to Springville, California. On 190 travel 15 miles to Nelson Drive. From Nelson Drive exit on Coy Flat and drive 1.5 miles to campground.
