CATHEDRAL ROCK GRP PICNIC AREA (NV), NV

Description

Cathedral Rock group picnic areas are located in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. Cathedral Rock Day Use Area is located about 30 miles from Las Vegas at an altitude of 7600 feet. Set among pines adjacent to 3 hiking trails, this busy picnic area is open year round. In the winter, the group sites close and only single sites are available. This is a developed facility with flush toilets.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. No overnight camping in this Picnic Area. It is a day use facility only. Reservations are taken from mid_May through Columbus Day in October; sites may be available on a first come - first served basis outside the reservation season. Please check with the Forest Service to see what current fire restrictions are in place: 702-515-5400 Notice: Beginning in 2004 the vehicle policy has changed. No more than 2 vehicles per single site will be allowed.
