BUCK RIDGE (CA), CADescriptionBuck Ridge Park is located at Hensley Lake in the foothills of Central California, 50 miles north of Fresno. The area which was once home to the Miwok and Yokut Native Americans now offers many recreational opportunities for outdoor enjoyment.Recreation:The area contains a swim beach for many hours of family fun. There is a hiking/biking/horsetraillocated within this area. In addition Buck Ridge features a Disc Golf course. Facilities:Located within the park are: boat ramps, picnic facilities, a group picnic shelter a playground.. Nearby Attractions:Yosemite National Park is about 1 hour north of the park. Kings Canyon National Park is about 1 1/2 hours southeast of the park. Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationThe park is year round. The shelter will accommodate 50 people and 25 vehicles. For more information, please call (559) 673-5151. This area is day use only, departure at night is required. Please contact the Park Headquarters at 559-673-5151 to receive free day use passes for your guests. Getting There:Buck Ridge (CA)PO BOX 85 Raymond CA 93653-0085 GPS Info. (Latitude, Longitude): 37.125, -119.875 ***From south of Fresno: SR 99 to SR 41 north to SR 145. Turn left on 145, 8.4 miles to Road 33. Turn right to Road 33, 1 mile to Road 400. Turn right to Road 400, 8 miles to the Buck Ridge Recreation Area. Follow the signs to the various areas within the park. ***From South of Madera: Take SR 99 north to exit #153. Bear right onto Madera Ave., .3 miles to Gateway. Turn left, .2 miles to light at Yosemite Ave. (SR 145), Turn right 7.2 miles to Road 33. Turn left 1 mile to Road 400.; Proceed 8 miles to the Buck Ridge Recreation Area. Follow the signs within the park to the various recreation areas within the park. ***From North of Madera: Take SR 99 south to exit #153, exit onto Olive Ave. Turn left onto Madera Ave., .3 miles to Gateway. Turn left, .2 miles to light at Yosemite Ave. (SR 145), Turn right 7.2 miles to Road 33. Turn left 1 mile to Road 400.; Proceed 8 miles to the Buck Ridge Recreation Area.
