Description

Located approximately 5 miles west of Warren, Pennsylvania, at Buckaloons Recreation Area, this campground is located directly adjacent to the Allegheny Wild and Scenic River and Historic Site.

Campground fee allows full use of all on-site facilities for 8 people, two vehicles and one wheeled camping unit at each site. Some sites are large enough to accommodate more vehicles.

Campground is open from early May to end of October. Reservations accepted early May through end of October. First come first serve sites are available. Group tent site will accommodate up to 50 people.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on the weekends and a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.

Quiet hours 10pm to 6am. Gate closed 10pm to 6am.

Occupy site within 24 hours or forfeit.

Campsite fee allows 8 people, 2 motor vehicles (car, station wagon, van or truck) and 1 wheeled camping unit (motorhome, travel trailer, truck camper, pop-up trailer, conversion van or bus). Limited parking, $5.00 for each extra vehicle.

Do not bring firewood from home to the Allegheny National Forest. Do not unwittingly spread the emerald ash borer, sirex wood wasp, hemlock woolly adelgid or other firewood borne invasive species. Possession of firewood from outside the area of the Allegheny National Forest is prohibited. Firewood is available at or near camping facilities.
