Buckhorn Creek Park Partial Closures Due to Flooding: Buckhorn Creek Campground is experiencing partial closures of campground loops as of 22 October 2009 due to recent flooding. Certain sites will remain closed until further notice. All affected existing reservations will receive a full refund.

Description

Lake O' the Pines is a sportsman's paradise, providing excellent fishing and hunting opportunities in the lake and surrounding forests. Buckhorn Creek Campground on Lake O' the Pines offers 57 RV campsites with electric and water hookups. There are 38 campsites designated for tent camping only. Other amenities include a dump station, hot showers, boat ramp, courtesy dock, and playground.

Alerts and Important Information

The campground is open year round and sites range from $12-$36/night. An attendant is on duty and the campground telephone number is 903-665-8261. Tents are only allowed to be set up on sites which have a tent pad, and must be fully within the tent pad boundaries. Primitive tent areas, and group camping areas do not apply. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends and a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.

  • RV Area 1 and Tent Area 1 and 2 are reservable.
  • No off-road or all-terrain vehicles, no golf carts, motorized scooters, etc. may be operated in the park unless they are licensed in accordance with state regulations.
  • Gates open at 6:00 am and close at 11:00 pm; An attendant is on duty from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 6:00 am; All visitors must leave the park by 10:00 pm.
  • A maximum of 8 people per site is allowed including visitors.
