Description

Located seven miles northeast of the town of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Campground is situated in a mixed conifer pine and fir forest. There is a good mix of sun and shade. Restrooms, potable water and tent pads are provided. There is a pay phone in the campground. There is also a Campground Host present at the site. The rainy season is July/August. Temperatures often cool considerably in the evenings.

There are no showers, electrical hookups or dump station. The highway to the campground is paved, and the campground is adjacent to a New Mexico State Park, where there is a dump station.

There are a total of 36 sites, half of the sites are reservable online, and the other half are first come first serve. The reservable sites are also available on a first come first serve basis if there is no current reservation in place. There are no refunds for bad weather. Campground closing date is subject to weather and may be open longer.

A Pecos Wilderness Trailhead is 8 miles away, as well as several other hiking trails and mountain biking trails also located nearby.
