Description

Bishop Park Group site is located 15 miles west of Bishop California, adjacent to Bishop Creek. Popular activities include horseback riding, wildlife viewing, hiking and fishing in a stocked trout stream. The campground is located near John Muir Wilderness, giving access to several trailheads, glaciers and lakes.

Bishop Park Campground has several single family sites, only the group site is reservable. Reservations can be made from about mid-May through mid-September. They can be made up to 1 year in advance but they must be made at least 4 days prior to your intended arrival date.

  • There are first-come, first-serve (single sites) at this campground
  • There is a 2-night minimum stay on weekends and a 3-night minimum stay on holidays
  • This campground has tent camping only, no RV's
  • CAUTION: Bears are frequent in this area. All food must be kept in approved containers. There are 2 bear proof storage lockers at the group site
