BIG CREEK CAMPGROUND (MT), MTDescriptionBig Creek Group USe Site is located 19 miles north of Columbia Falls along the North Fork of the Flathead River in the Big Creek Campground. The group camping areas are nestled in the middle of the campground with convenient access to the river, tables, campsites, and toilets. The group use site accomidates 200 people. Facilities at the campground include a river access site, day use facilities, water, 1 group camping area, 22 individual campsites, 1 host site, and vault toilets. Please oack out what you brought including your garbage. Grizzly Bears live in the area; store your food, beverages, coolers, and garbage in a manner that does not attract bears to your campsite, either in your vehicle, hang it properly, or in an approved food storage container. Big Creek Campground is just a few miles south of the Camas Road; the west entrance into Glacier National Park. The North Fork of the Flathead Riv er is desginated as a Wild and Scenic River with wonderful fishing and floating opportunities.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationGrizzly, Black Bears, and Mountain Lions live in the area, store your food, beverages, coolers, and garbage inside your vehicle. Attention Large Groups: You may make your reservation online or by telephone by simply paying $25.00 per night with a credit card and then paying the additional camper unit fees or day use fees to the host upon your arrival at the campground. The above fees are in addition to your $10.00 NRRS reservation fee. Fees: The Group Site can be reserved for Overnight or Day Use. Overnight: There is a $25.00 per night fee. As the users arrive at the campground , they will pay an additional $13.00 per night per camper unit. A camper unit is a motor home, trailer, pick-up camper or family tent. The group site needs to have a minimum of 5 camper units per night. Day Use: Groups using the Group Site Areas for Day use only will pay $75.00 per day when making their reservation and a $4.00 per vehicle fee as they arrive. Late Cancellations: The $25.00 Group Use fee is non refundable. No-Shows: If you do not arrive at the campground or group facility by the times listed above, you will forfeit your $25.00 per night fee. (Latitude, Longitude): 48.59778, -114.16222 Big Creek Campground is located 19 miles north of Clumbia Falls, MT on the North Fork Road (Country Road #486). To find the North Road take Nucleus Avenue north through Columbia Falls, turn east on Railroad Street at the stop sighm this becomes the North Fork Road as it travels over the railroad overpass. Glacier Institute Outdoor Education Center is on the west side of the road just opposite of the campground.
