Description

Campground is located on Hobble Creek at an elevation of 6,000 feet. Vegetation is fir, maple and cottonwood trees. Hobble Creek runs next to the campground. Roads and parking areas are paved. There are concrete pads under the tables. Popular activities include fishing Hobble Creek, playing volleyball or hiking Dry Canyon or Wardworth Trail (both of which leave Hobble Creek Road within one mile of campground).

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance. Gate closes at 10pm. A per day extra vehicle charge will be collected at the campground. Quiet hours are between 10pm-6am. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. There is no power or phone. Pets must be leashed. No All-terrain vehicles or Off-highway vehicles in campground. This park has first come, first served sites. From I-15 take exit 260 into Springville. Continue going east through intersection of Main Street and Highway 400 South. There is an awkward 4-way stop at the end of 400 south. Turn right at the stop sign onto Canyon Road. Keep heading east up Canyon Road for about 6 miles, you will pass the Hobble Creek Golf Course. After passing the Hobble Creek Golf Course the road will fork, stay to the right. Balsam Campground is approximately 6 miles from the golf course past the junction of Forest Service Roads 132 and 058.
