BAILEY COVE (CA), CADescriptionLocated approximately 16 miles north of Redding, California at the O'Brien exit, then east 1 mile. Bailey Cove has easy freeway access to Interstate 5.The Bailey Cove boat ramp is located adjacent to the campground and a daily $8.00 fee is required for boat ramp use. Restrooms are provided. Located in the O'Brien area on the McCloud arm of the lake. Resorts are nearby with water craft rentals available. The nearest store is 8 miles north. There is abundant wildlife; osprey nests are nearby in easy view. There is an easy 3-mile hiking trail along the shoreline. Bailey Cove is open year round and reservable from May 16, 2008 to September 15, 2008. Alerts and Important InformationReservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. A $5 extra vehicle fee will be collected at the campground. There is a $8.00 daily fee to launch your boat.
