    Mojalaki Golf Club

Mojalaki means "the carrying place." The Merrimac River flows about 1200 feet from the southern border of our property, and to avoid the often dangerous current in this area, the Indians would take their canoes out of the water, carry them across the land and put them back into calmer waters farther down the river... hence, the reason for the name.
