Starvation State Park, UT

Description

The sprawling waters of Starvation Reservoir provide for fishing and boating in a stark desert landscape. Located four miles northwest of Duchesne on Highway 40, the campground is popular with anglers, boaters, and those using Starvation as a base camp for nearby off-highway vehicle riding. Primitive camping is allowed at designated areas around the reservoir.

Alerts and Important Information



  • Starvation Group Area Reservations

  • If towing a trailer, no extra vehicles can be accommodated. You must call the park if you have an additional vehicle (435) 738-2326.

  • If an additional vehicle is approved for your site, you will be charged half a camping fee per night upon entrance to the park.

  • Rabbit Gulch, Indian Bay, Juniper Point and Knight Hollow are not site-specific, each reservation is for a single vehicle only. Campers in these primitive areas may use the showers in the main campground for $2.

  • Must bring your own firewood.
