Description

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park offers within the park, the Stephen Foster Museum, Carillon Tower, Craft Square/Gift Shop, and a view of the famous Suwannee River. The Stephen Foster Museum and Carillon Tower features exhibits and dioramas from Stephen Fosters songs as well as a display of antique pianos. The Carillon Tower is also home to the worlds largest tubular bell instrument, constructed and installed in 1957. The tower rings out Fosters tunes in scheduled concerts throughout the day. Visit the Craft Square where working craftsmen demonstrate cultural arts and traditions, from quilting to blacksmithing and home canning. Classes are offered regularly. The Cousin Thelma Boltin Craft & Gift Shop sells regional foods, crafts, gifts, handmade items by local artists as well as Stephen Foster memorabilia

Alerts and Important Information

The park gates close at sunset. If you plan to arrive late please contact the park prior to 5 PM on the day of your arrival.

Stephen Foster's renovated campground offers 45 oak-shaded sites.
Campground NOT AVAILABLE on Memorial Day weekend each year. Starting at 9 AM the Monday before the weekend and ending at 2PM on Tuesday. No fireworks allowed within the park. Late arrivals should call by 5pm on arrival date. All sites will accommodate a tent, RV, trailer or pop-up.
Pets are welcome overnight in all the camping parks. Pet rules apply. Pets are not allowed in Cabins or Cabin areas. Domestic breeds of dogs, except guide or signal dogs or animals trained to assist individuals with a disability, cats, fur-bearing animals, birds and reptiles are not allowed in food-service areas, cabins or cabin areas, primitive campgrounds, beaches where bathing and swimming are permitted, either land and water portions, park buildings, playgrounds, and areas designated by park management. Captive wild species, whether native or non- native, and barnyard animals, except horses, are not allowed.
Pets must be well behaved at all times and confined in the owner's camping unit during quiet hours. Unconfined pets may not be left unattended for more than 30 minutes and must be on a leash no more than 6 feet long. Please do not tie pets to park vegetation, natural or manmade structures or facilities. Pet owners must pick up after their pets and properly dispose of all droppings in trash receptacles. Pets are required to be vaccinated. Horse owners and users will be asked to show their certificate of a current negative Coggin's Test for all horses entering the park.
A pet that is noisy, disturbing, intimidating or dangerous to other people or pets, or which damages park resources, will not be allowed to remain in the park. No one younger than 18 may camp overnight unless accompanied by a responsible adult, who will remain onsite for the period rented.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park is located on U.S. 41 North in White Springs. From I-75 take Exit 439 to HWY 136 East. Go east 3 miles. Left on U.S. 41. Park entrance on the left. From I-10 Exit number 301, US 41 North, travel 9 miles to White Springs.
