In an effort to better serve you, our camping and cabin reservation system is receiving an upgrade. You can take a stroll through the hammocks of live oak, hickory, sabal palm, and magnolia that border the river. If time travel is on your agenda, step back to the 1830s courtesy of Fort Foster Historic Site, a reconstructed Second Seminole War Fort. Alerts and Important InformationATTENTION: Renovation of the Park's roads and parking lots will begin April 9, 2009 and last through December 9, 2009. The park will remain open throughout this project. Please note, depending on the date of your visit, traffic may be re-routed and some trails may not be available. Please contact the Park office at 813-987-6771 if you have questions. Thank you for your patience and understanding. ATTENTION: The Park's pool has sustained a major equipment failure and will not open as scheduled Saturday May 30 2009. We apologize for any inconvenience and are working to remedy the problem as soon as possible. Please contact the Park office at 813-987-6771 if you have questions. Pool is opened seasonally. Please contact the park for more information. The park is open 365 days a year. Check-in time may be any time after the park opens that a site becomes available. In some cases, campers may need to wait until 3pm for the the previous campers to check out. Peak check in times are between 4:30pm - 7:30pm on Fridays. Expect delays if arriving during these hours. Pets are allowed overnight in all campsites. Pet rules apply.
